"The postponement of the Olympic Games seemed inevitable and this decision was intelligent. It is full of common sense and is in line with the collective logic of the actions put in place around the world to fight against the coronavirus. We will have time to rethink football once we have defeated the virus. But not before.

For the moment, the urgency is elsewhere. This fight against Covid-19 concerns us all and must remind us of our priorities. By respecting the rules, by being supportive, responsible and exemplary. For all of us, for our loved ones, and for all the people on the front line who take risks every day to save lives.
