TRAINING THROUGHOUT THE WORLD

French expertise in terms of training is recognised far beyond our borders. The FFF offers its audit consultancy services and its wide range of training courses to other national federations. The National Technical Department regularly carries out missions abroad and at the National Football Institute in Clairefontaine to train coaches and to set up detection and player training structures. The Federation also provides auditing services for the organisation and development of football on several continents. In recent seasons, it has signed various contracts and programmes with the USA, Costa Rica, China, Guinea, Congo, the United Arab Emirates and others.

The FFF is the first federation to set up a representative and development office in China, which it has shared with the Professional Football League since February 2017. Based in Beijing, this office has three objectives: the promotion of French football, the development of training exchanges and commercial opportunities. Due to its presence in China for the FIFA Council (in Shanghai on October 24, 2019), the president of the Federation Noël Le Graët spoke about the exchanges between the two countries and the role of the FFF-LFP office.

A FFACADEMY IN THE UNITED STATES AND SINGAPORE

 

The Federation opened its first French Football Academy in New York in July 2019. Based in Manhattan and Brooklyn, the academy is open to girls and boys between the ages of 5 and 15. It offers a wide range of activities: competitions, summer camps and after school training. The structure is inspired by the Label Jeunes FFF. It provides complete pedagogical support, both sporting and educational, as well as training supervision. The National Technical Department (DTN) manages the project, provides training procedures and helps train the academy's coaches. In order to strengthen its international presence and continue its policy of developing French football abroad, the FFF opened its second FF Academy in Singapore in October 2020.

Inaugurated in 1988, based on a vision of Fernand Sastre, former FFF president (1972-1984), the Clairefontaine football technical centre is a model that has inspired and still inspires many nations around the world. Spearheading the French national team, this unique 56-hectare estate offers a unique training and performance facilities dedicated to football excellence.

Launched in 2016, the Collectif Foot brings together players from the French football industry who pool their resources to promote our country's expertise. This organization provides a clear structure of our offers proposed at the international level and to develop a common approach to major sporting events. As an offshoot of the Filière Sport au football, the Collectif Foot brings together institutional partners, public operators and private companies around the FFF and the LFP.

The Clairefontaine medical centre is one of the few in the world to be labelled "Medical Centre of Excellence" by FIFA. It houses a rehabilitation centre for post-traumatic care, an assessment centre for individual assessments and a research and training centre which prepares the elite of sports medicine. Its state-of-the-art facilities and highly qualified medical staff enable top athletes to return to the field quickly.
