American World Cup delegates visit FFF

As part of the organisation of the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada, delegates from Miami and Missouri paid a visit to the French Football Federation.

The French Football Federation took on an American accent last week, when two representatives of delegations from the United States visited the FFF's offices in Paris. Anthony Rodriguez, president of Miami-Dade County, and Raphaël Trapp, French Consul General in Miami, arrived on Tuesday June 17th, and at the end of the week, on Friday June 20th, FFF President Philippe Diallo welcomed Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe in addition to other various representatives.

Seven matches in Miami, six in Kansas City
These meetings have allowed the American delegations to benefit from the FFF's expertise in organising and hosting major events, with just one year to go until the 2026 World Cup takes place between June 11th to July 19th in Mexico, Canada and the United States. It was also an opportunity for the FFF to establish initial contact with two of the host cities for the tournament, for which France is aiming to qualify.

Four group stage matches, a round of 16 match, a quarter-final and the third-place play-off match will be played at the 65,000 capacity Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Kansas City, Missouri, will play host to four group matches, a round of 16 match and a quarter-final, all to be played at the 73,000 capacity Arrowhead Stadium.

Didier Deschamps' men will kick off their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign against Ukraine on Friday September 5th.
