The coach of the France U21 team, Sylvain Ripoll, announced on Wednesday May 31st the final list of players chosen to compete in the 2023 European U21 Championship, to be played between June 21st and July 8th in Georgia and Romania.

Three weeks before the finals kick off, Les Bleuets are in the mood for the Euros. Having qualified back in June 2022, after finishing top of their group (H), they will soon be heading in the direction of Georgia and Romania, who will host the event jointly from June 21st to July 8th inclusive.

Coach Sylvain Ripoll unveiled on Wednesday May 31st, the final list of twenty three players selected for the tournament where they will face, in the initial group stage, Italy, Norway and Switzerland at the Cluj-Arena in Cluj-Napoca.

In preparation for the main attraction, France will play a friendly match against Mexico at the Stade des Alpes in Grenoble (Isère), on Friday June 16th (KO 6:30 p.m.) before flying out to Romania to get their tournament underway.

  • 8:45 p.m.: France-Italy (Cluj-Napoca, Cluj Arena)

- Sunday, June 25th 2023:

  • 6 p.m.: Switzerland-Italy (Cluj-Napoca, Cluj Arena)
  • 8:45 p.m.: Norway-France (Cluj-Napoca, Stadionul Dr. Constantin Radulescu)

- Wednesday, June 28th 2023:

  • 8:45 p.m.: Switzerland-France (Cluj-Napoca, Stadionul Dr. Constantin Radulescu)
  • 8:45 p.m.: Italy-Norway (Cluj-Napoca, Cluj Arena)

The top two teams in the group will qualify for the quarter finals, to be played on July 1st and 2nd. The semi final will take place on Wednesday July 5th and the final on Saturday July 8th, with both matches to be contested at the Batumi Arena in Batumi, Georgia.
