The list of twenty six
Hervé Renard, coach of the France Women's Team, has unveiled his list of the twenty six players chosen to take part in in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, to be held in Australia and New Zealand.
The group will meet up and begin their preparations for the tournament at the Clairefontaine training centre on Tuesday 20th June. Their preparation will be punctuated by two friendly matches, the first against the Republic of Ireland in Dublin on July 6th, with the second to be contested against Australia on July 14th in Melbourne.
Three players will leave the final group between now and the start of the World Cup, bringing the eventual squad size down to 23. Those remaining will begin the group stage of their tournament on July 23rd against Jamaica in Sydney, before facing Brazil on July 29th and then Panama on August 2nd.
