The interim president of the FFF was elected for a four year term on the UEFA Executive Committee at the European governing body’s 47th congress in Lisbon, it was announced this afternoon.

The French Football Federation is delighted with his election, which perpetuates the representation of French football within major international sporting bodies.

Reaction from Philippe Diallo (interim president of the FFF): “I would like to thank the members of the UEFA General Assembly for the esteem and trust granted to the French football that I represent. France has always played a key role in major decisions taken in continental and world football. The protection of the important balance between the European federations and training, the strengthening of a virtuous economic model for the good of football, as well as the development of structuring societal and environmental projects will be among the main challenges of this new mandate.”
