Hervé Renard named as new France women's coach
Following the extraordinary meeting of the Executive Committee this Thursday afternoon, the French Football Federation is pleased to announce the appointment of Hervé Renard as coach of the French women's team until August 2024.
The new coach will lead Les Bleues during the 2023 FIFA World Cup, which will take place in Australia and New Zealand from July 20th to August 20th, and also at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games between July 25th and August 10th next summer.
A presentation press conference will be held at midday this Friday, March 31st, at the headquarters of the FFF in the presence of Philippe Diallo, interim president of the FFF, and the recruitment committee, composed of Jean-Michel Aulas, Laura Georges, Marc Keller and Aline Riera.
Hervé Renard will use this occasion to unveil his first squad for the two upcoming women’s first team matches, to be played on Friday April 7th in Clermont-Ferrand against Colombia, and on Tuesday April 11th in Le Mans against Canada, the reigning Olympic champions.
