League 1’s first all female on pitch match official team

The FFF's Federal Arbitration Commission has appointed Stéphanie Frappart, Manuela Nicolosi and Élodie Coppola to officiate the Troyes v Monaco match on Sunday March 5th in the Uber Eats Ligue 1, a first for the division.

This is an unprecedented event in the history of the French championship. For matchday 26 of the Uber Eats Ligue 1, a trio of female officials have been appointed by the FFF's Federal Arbitration Commission to officiate the match between ESTAC Troyes and AS Monaco FC on Sunday March 5th, which kicks off at 1pm. Match referee, Stéphanie Frappart, will be accompanied by Manuela Nicolosi and Élodie Coppola as her assistants. The trio will be assisted by Romain Delpech, acting as fourth official.

The three female officials have also been selected by FIFA to take part in the Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand next summer (July 20th to August 20th 2023). Their selection for Sunday’s match will serve as a key part in their preparation for the tournament.

The first match referee to take charge of a Ligue 1 match in April 2019, Stéphanie Frappart will now add another milestone to her pioneering record by being a part of the first all female on pitch team of officials to take charge of a match in L1.
