Noël Le Graët récompense l'OL féminin

Noël Le Graët, president of the FFF, was in Lyon on Tuesday October 13, to present a medal to the players, staff and management of the Olympique Lyonnais women's team.

With a fourteenth French championship title and a seventh European crown topped this summer, Olympique Lyonnais has established itself over the years as the biggest women's football club on the continent.

Noël Le Graët, president of the FFF, was happy to honour the exceptional performances of the club from the Rhône-Alpes region by awarding the players, staff and management a federal medal at a ceremony held on Tuesday at the Groupama Stadium in Décines.

"Not rewarding Olympique Lyonnais would have been a mistake, commented the FFF president. Firstly, for the team's record of achievements, and secondly for the considerable work of Jean-Michel Aulas. This club, with its managers and players, largely deserves these medals. It is thanks to teams like the OL, who play well, that we gain members. The number of female members in France is growing every year, thanks to the French team, which also plays well, as well as the OL".

The presentation was made in the presence of Brigitte Henriques, deputy vice-president of the FFF, Jean-Michel Aulas, president of the OL, and Bruno Bernard, president of the Métropole de Lyon.
