The coach of the French women's team published the following press release on Thursday March 19.

"UEFA has decided to postpone international matches for the coming weeks, including the Euro 2021 qualifying matches that we were due to start on April 10 against Northern Macedonia in Dijon and on April 14 in Austria. This is a logical and unquestionable decision in view of the health crisis that Europe and the whole world are going through.

The postponement of the men's Euro to June-July 2021 will also have a direct impact on the dates of the women's Euro, scheduled for the same period in England. But our concern is not there today. The absolute priority is everyone's health, and football will adapt.

For the time being, let us be patient, civic-minded and supportive. The FFF, through our president Noël Le Graët, has been responsible from the very beginning of this crisis.

Let us be exemplary at this very worrying time.

Our qualification for the Euro has not yet been achieved, let us take things as they come, and we will be able to get back on track to achieve our sporting objectives. For the time being, the common goal is elsewhere, and I my thoughts go out to all of those who are suffering".
